Zebra Danio

The zebra danio, Danio rerio, is a popular and hardy freshwater fish originating from the rivers and streams of South Asia, particularly in India and Bangladesh. Known for its distinctive blue and silver horizontal stripes resembling a zebra pattern, this small fish typically grows to about 2 inches in length. Zebra danios are active, social, and peaceful, making them an ideal choice for community tanks.
 
They thrive in well-planted aquariums with plenty of swimming space and prefer water temperatures between 64-77°F with a pH range of 6.5-7.5. As omnivores, zebra danios enjoy a varied diet that includes high-quality flakes, small pellets, and occasional live or frozen foods like brine shrimp and daphnia.
