Zebra Angelfish
Zebra Angelfish are a unique variety of freshwater angelfish (Pterophyllum) known for their bold black vertical stripes running across their silver bodies, giving them a distinctive zebra-like appearance. Like other angelfish, they have an elegant triangular body shape and long, flowing fins, making them a striking presence in any aquarium.
Native to the slow-moving waters of the Amazon Basin, Zebra Angelfish thrive in warm water, between 75-82°F (24-28°C), and prefer a well-planted tank with plenty of space for swimming. While generally peaceful, they can be mildly territorial, particularly during breeding.
They require a balanced diet of flakes, pellets, and occasional live or frozen foods such as brine shrimp to maintain their health and striking appearance. With proper care, Zebra Angelfish can live up to 10 years, offering both beauty and personality to an aquarium environment.
