Roseline Shark
The roseline shark, also known as the Denison barb (Sahyadria denisonii), is a vibrant, torpedo-shaped freshwater fish native to the rivers of India. Known for its striking coloration, it has a silver body with a bold red stripe along its head and a black stripe running the length of its body, often complemented by yellow and black tail markings. Growing up to 4-6 inches, roseline sharks are active, peaceful schooling fish that thrive in groups of six or more in aquariums of at least 55 gallons. They prefer water temperatures of 72-77°F and a neutral pH, and their diet includes quality flakes, pellets, and occasional live or frozen foods. With their dynamic swimming and bright colors, roseline sharks are a lively addition to community tanks.
