Peruvian Blue Angelfish

$10.00Price

Peruvian Blue Angelfish are a stunning variety of freshwater angelfish (Pterophyllum) known for their captivating blue hue, which distinguishes them from other angelfish species.

Native to the rivers of Peru, they feature the same graceful, triangular body shape and long, flowing fins characteristic of all angelfish, with their unique blue coloration adding an extra layer of beauty.

These fish thrive in warm water, between 75-82°F (24-28°C), and prefer aquariums that mimic their natural habitat, with plenty of plants and vertical swimming space. While generally peaceful, they can be territorial, especially during breeding, so they should be housed in tanks with compatible species.

A varied diet of high-quality flakes, pellets, and occasional live or frozen foods, like brine shrimp, helps to maintain their health and vibrant colors. With proper care, Peruvian Blue Angelfish can live up to 10 years, making them a striking and long-lasting addition to any aquarium setup.
