Glow Danio
The glow danio, also known as the glowlight danio or Danio choprae, is a vibrant and eye-catching freshwater fish native to the clear, fast-moving streams of Myanmar. Characterized by its fluorescent orange body with bright iridescent stripes, this small fish grows to about 1-1.5 inches in length. Glow danios are known for their active and social behavior, often schooling together to create a striking display.
Ideal for well-planted community tanks, glow danios thrive in water temperatures of 72-79°F and a pH range of 6.5-7.5. They do best in aquariums with plenty of open swimming space and gentle currents. As omnivores, they enjoy a varied diet that includes high-quality flakes, micro-pellets, and occasional live or frozen foods like daphnia and brine shrimp.
Their vibrant colors, lively nature, and ease of care make glow danios a popular choice among aquarists looking for a dynamic and visually appealing addition to their freshwater tank.
