Blue Star Endler Guppy
The Blue Star Endler Guppy (Poecilia wingei) is a striking freshwater fish known for its vivid blue coloration and active behavior. A variation of the Endler's Livebearer, this species is native to Venezuela and typically grows to about 1 to 1.5 inches (2.5 to 3.8 cm), making it perfect for smaller aquariums and nano tanks.
Blue Star Endlers are characterized by their iridescent blue bodies, often accented by shades of green, orange, and black, with males displaying more intense coloration than females. The bright blue tones, resembling a starry sky, give this fish its name.
These fish thrive in warm water, ideally between 72-82°F (22-28°C), and prefer a well-planted aquarium with plenty of swimming space. Blue Star Endlers are peaceful and can coexist harmoniously with other small, non-aggressive species.
As omnivores, they enjoy a varied diet of high-quality flakes, micro pellets, and occasional live or frozen foods like brine shrimp and daphnia. Hardy and easy to care for, Blue Star Endlers are a popular choice for both beginners and experienced aquarists, adding a splash of vibrant color and energy to any freshwater setup.
