The Black Bar Endler Guppy (Poecilia wingei) is a small, vibrant freshwater fish known for its striking black vertical bar and vivid coloration. A wild-type variant of the Endler's Livebearer, native to Venezuela, this species typically grows to about 1 to 1.5 inches (2.5 to 3.8 cm) in length, making it ideal for nano and community aquariums.

Black Bar Endlers are characterized by their colorful bodies, which can display shades of orange, green, blue, and yellow, with a distinctive black stripe running vertically down their sides. Males are particularly colorful and have more pronounced markings, while females are more subdued in color.

These guppies thrive in warm water, ideally between 72-82°F (22-28°C), and prefer planted tanks with ample swimming space. They are peaceful and can coexist well with other small, non-aggressive fish.

As omnivores, Black Bar Endlers enjoy a varied diet of high-quality flakes, micro pellets, and occasional live or frozen foods such as brine shrimp and daphnia. Hardy and easy to care for, they are a great choice for both beginner and experienced aquarists. Their bright colors and lively behavior make them a beautiful and energetic addition to any aquarium.
